I’m a reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News. I’ve covered crime and education and created a series called LA@Night. I now cover public health and health care and was recently honored with an award by the California Newspaper Publishers Association for producing a series on the Affordable Care Act called “Decision Time.”  I’ve also worked at The Stamford Advocate in Conn., where I won four Society of Professional Journalism awards and was a finalist for a New York Deadline Club Award.

My non fiction and short stories have appeared in “Nothing Held Back” an anthology published by WriteGirl,  T/Our Magazine,  lunchticket.org, and Thrice Fiction.

Some of the news stories on this blog are old, but I decided to enter the morgue, blow off the dust, and display them again.
